Walnut Hill is a twentieth century replica of the original eighteenth and nineteenth century family home. The main floor of the 2700 square foot house has a living room and dining room, each with a fireplace, as well as a gracious entry hall, kitchen, breakfast room and bath. Upstairs are four bedrooms and two baths. For year-round entertaining inside and outside the house, tents may be installed on the wrap-around porch and deck.

The lovely 10 acre grounds offer several level places to accommodate any size tent. This gorgeous natural setting includes nine original historic outbuildings, huge English and American boxwoods, ancient elm, osage orange and walnut trees, an old cast iron fence and a clear, sparkling pond.

Walnut Hill is located 16 miles from Raleigh. Follow US 64 East to Knightdale (9.2 miles), turn right on Smithfield Road (at the Hardee’s on corner), and travel 5 miles to the intersection of Smithfield and Grasshopper Roads. Turn right on Grasshopper Road and travel 1.2 miles. Take the first left onto Carl Williamson Road. Walnut Hill is .6 mile on your right.
